Patterson McKinlay serves as President of Achieve Retirement, a division of E.A. Buck dedicated to delivering strategic retirement plan consulting and fiduciary services to businesses nationwide. With over 20 years of experience in the retirement plan industry, Patterson brings a deep understanding of plan design, regulatory compliance, investment oversight, and participant education.
In 2005, Patterson founded Achieve Retirement in Denver, Colorado, with a vision to simplify retirement planning for small to mid-sized businesses. Under his leadership, the firm has grown to manage more than 180 employer-sponsored retirement plans and over $800 million in assets under management. Achieve prides itself for its tailored approach to 401(k), 403(b), and other employer-sponsored plans—serving organizations who are passionate about delivering a superior retirement experience for their employees.
Patterson’s experience lies in building scalable retirement solutions that help reduce fiduciary risk while driving better outcomes for plan participants. He partners closely with business owners, CFOs, and HR leaders to align plan strategy with organizational goals, all while help to ensure a high standard of fiduciary care.
